When he was first diagnosed with tongue cancer, neither he nor his family suspected that the persistent sore in his mouth could be something serious. At first, there was no obvious lump, only what seemed like a stubborn ulcer that would not heal. As time passed, he became weaker, lost his appetite, and found eating increasingly difficult. It was only after further medical examinations that he was diagnosed with tongue cancer.

He underwent conventional medical treatment as recommended by his doctors, but the journey was physically and emotionally demanding. His son, also a medical doctor wanted to do everything possible to support his recovery, he began using ECCT as a complementary therapy in 2018, as his Sole Cancer Treatment for Tongue Cancer.

From the very beginning, he made a commitment to use the therapy consistently every day. The treatment generated a noticeable warmth while he wore the vest, sometimes making him feel hot because much of his body was covered. Nevertheless, he accepted the discomfort as part of his effort to recover.

He never allowed the therapy to interrupt his daily life. During treatment sessions, he would browse his mobile phone, spend time with his grandchildren, or simply relax with his family. Over time, the routine became a natural part of his everyday life.

His determination extended beyond home. When he travelled for his Umrah pilgrimage, he packed the ECCT equipment with him because he did not want to miss a single day of therapy. At one airport, security officers temporarily stopped him after noticing the unfamiliar equipment in his luggage. His driver even waited outside in case the device could not pass through security. Fortunately, after the inspection, he was allowed to continue his journey, and he remained committed to his therapy schedule throughout the trip.

According to his son, the family's confidence grew as the years went by. His father never looked for excuses to skip treatment, whether he was at home or travelling. They witnessed his discipline and determination firsthand, and they admired his willingness to continue despite the inconvenience and the warmth generated by the device. His son described his father as someone who never gave up and believed that consistency was one of the greatest strengths throughout his journey.

The family also noticed encouraging changes over time. According to the patient, his tongue gradually felt softer compared with before. During his regular follow-up appointments, they were encouraged that each year's scan showed continued improvement compared with the previous year. These positive developments motivated him to continue using ECCT alongside his standard medical care.

Today, seven years after starting ECCT in 2018, he continues to use the therapy as part of his daily routine. Having reached the seven-year milestone, he remains grateful for every year he has been able to spend with his family. His experience has inspired him to encourage other patients not to lose hope, to stay consistent with their treatment plan, and to work closely with their healthcare professionals throughout their cancer journey.

His story reflects one individual's personal experience. Every cancer patient's journey is different, and outcomes vary depending on many factors. ECCT is intended to be used as a complementary therapy alongside standard medical treatment under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals and should not be considered a replacement for evidence-based cancer care.
