Mr. Marwan (54), a Qatari citizen living in the United States, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer a year and a half ago. He received treatment at one of the world’s leading cancer centers, MD Anderson in Houston. His cancer type was adenocarcinoma grade 2, moderately differentiated, and EGFR mutation-negative. The disease had already spread to the lymph nodes and bones, accompanied by massive pleural effusion (fluid in the lungs). His doctor said that even with chemotherapy, there might not be much improvement. Statistically, patients with late-stage lung cancer survive only 4–9 months on average.

Because of that, his doctor allowed him to explore alternative options. In May 2024, his wife consulted about the possibility of using the ECCT, an electric fields cancer therapy. Eventually, Mr. Marwan and his wife decided to proceed with ECCT therapy, perhaps out of curiosity or because “there weren’t many other options for stage 4 lung cancer.” He followed the recommendation to continue medical treatment (chemotherapy) and his American oncologist permitted the combined use of ECCT and chemotherapy.

“Eighty percent of the cancer is gone. The metastasis in the lymph nodes is gone. The bone metastasis is gone,” his wife said, comparing PET-CT scans taken before and after 2.5 months of combination of chemo and ECCT therapy.
Now, 1.5 years after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, Mr. Marwan’s condition is relatively normal. Routine radiological examinations show no significant cancer-related issues. His hair, which had thinned during treatment, has even grown back thicker and darker.
